Ebay Resolution Center work is to hands complains about an eBay seller who has taken money, but has not delivered the goods. An investigation team is launched. The Resolution Center is where you can submit a formal complaint when you are having trouble with a transaction.

What is the first step to contact a seller on ebay?

The first step is to contact the seller and see if he or she will work things out with you. You can send an email to your seller via eBay Message Center or call the person directly.

When you are in a transaction with someone, eBay will give you that person’s registered phone number. Go to Advanced Search and in the Members area, select Search for contact information. After entering the other person’s eBay ID and item number, eBay sends you an email with the person’s phone number.

To get to the Resolution Center, click on the Customer Support link in the eBay navigation bar. You can also access the Resolution Center from your list on My eBay, in which case your item number will be completed in the form for you:

  • Go to your My eBay page.
  • In the Purchase History area, click the link to go to the items you have purchased.
  • Scroll down the page to find the item in question and choose to Solve a problem from the drop-down menu on the right.

The Solve a problem form appears in the Resolution Center.

  • Choose the problem you are having in your transaction and click Continue.
  • Now you get to the Report an item not received or not as described form. If you reached the Resolution Center from your item list, your item number is already complete.

If necessary, enter the item number.

  • Click Continue.
  • Tell eBay how you paid for this item.
  • If you paid with PayPal, it is sent to the Resolution page.
  • To review your case details and then click Open Case.

The Your case is now open page appears, informing you that your business partner has received a notification and has ten days to respond. From now on, you can continue your deals in the Resolution Center.

How to file a claim on eBay.

To file a claim on eBay, you must start the claim process no later than 7 days and no later than 45 days after the listing closes. Be careful not to jump the gun and file a complaint too soon. Please wait about 2 weeks before you file your claim for an item not received (a lost item in the mail may take up to 30 days to arrive.
