Your Golf Rangefinder An Invaluable Tool
Bushnell Tour V2 RangefinderA golf rangefinder has been a golfing accessory that has been much gravely misunderstood by the general public, who have been rather blunt and harsh in their criticism of these products. What is the reason for such sharp rebukes? It would seem it is the high price tag for golf rangefinder products such as the Leupold GX-4 Rangefinder, Bushnell V2 models.
In truth, the numerous benefits provided by these products are remarkable and more than justify the asking price for said items: bold claims that a novice golfer will be able to then dramatically improve their golfing ability are not mere marketing hyperbole!
Take the Bushnell Tour V2 model for example. Boasting an impressive error margin of one yard of distance either way, along with built-in battery case included as a feature of the product as well as the absence of any need for a reflective prism to be used in conjunction of the device means that this is one golf rangefinder that provides impeccable value for money.
No matter what the weather conditions may be, the Bushnell Tour V2 will be there to support you with your golfing experience because the golf rangefinder product happens to be entirely waterproof as well as resistant to the rain.
However, as impressive and commendable as all of these different attributes of the Bushnell Tour V2 may be, they pale in comparison when measured against the longevity of the battery pack associated with this product. The manufacturers of the Bushnell Tour V2 have claimed that the useful lifespan of the battery pack for the model will last for 5000 distance measures required by the golfer.
In time terms, this would equate to the battery being renewed on an annual basis. With all this in mind then, it is safe to say that whilst the Bushnell Tour V2 model of golf distance finder may be on the cheaper end of the pricing scale, it certainly punches well above its weight with regards to the value for money and benefits it provides the consumer.
For those of us who may still have some reservations about the usage of golf rangefinders, due to concerns and fears that these items may pose a threat of sorts to our health (and more specifically, for our eyes); such fears are utterly unfounded. The Bushnell Tour V2, in particular, has been vetted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Bushnell V2 Rangefinder with PinSeeker
Bushnell once again has delivered a truly excellent rangefinder to the market. The Bushnell V2 Rangefinder (More appropriately the Tour V2.) is legal for tournament use and, more importantly, it is an improvement over previous excellent releases in the Bushnell line. Some might find this surprising because this is a miniature sized rangefinder that is hardly visually impressive. Despite the small stature, this model delivers and delivers on all expectations.
Don’t dismiss the 1.7 x 4.5 x 3.8 size and 6.6-ounce weight and it’s 3-volt battery power source because this model delivers. It may be one of the best rangefinders you could purchase.
Although being a compact device, the Bushnell V2 rangefinder remains one of the most advanced and sophisticated models available. It is designed to employ PinSeeker technology to arrive at complete and consistent accuracy in all readings. Such readings can range upwards of 300 yards to the flag (offering accuracy within one yard of the flag) and do not require the use of any reflectors.
The magnification comes it at 5x and the optics are multi-coated to deliver high line clarity, brightness, and even light transmission. In short, when you want to examine a subject on the LCD you can feel confident you are looking at an accurate image.
Scan mode offers the automatic display multiple ranges while you perform a pan. This will allow you to determine the distance between targets enhance your ability to be accurate. PinSeeker mode is also included and it will aid in helping you centre on the acquisition of the flag and you can do so without adding background targets into the mix which would prove confusing.
Pros and Cons
• The grip construction is quite excellent which means you will not have to worry much about it slipping out of your hand as long as you hold it firmly
• The small size makes it easy to hold and manoeuvre.
• The rubber surrounding this device is almost like a suit of armour protecting it from errant damage. Of course, care still needs to be taken when handling the Bushnell Tour V2 Rangefinder as it is not indestructible.
• The range can be a little difficult to determine when the target is less than 100 yards.
• A 3-volt battery is a…3 volt battery. This means it will only last a limited number of rounds before having to be replaced. That will come up with a cost.
• The small size just might not be appealing to some.
